Camp Cherith is a Christ-centered summer camp located near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, designed to inspire spiritual growth, personal development, and outdoor adventure for youth ages 6 to 18. Surrounded by 280 acres of lakes, woodlands, and open trails, the camp offers a refreshing environment where kids and teens are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen their faith, and form life-changing friendships.
Campers experience separate sessions for boys and girls, allowing for a focused, age-appropriate environment led by godly mentors and trained leaders. Each day is filled with opportunities to explore new interests and develop skills through hands-on activities such as horseback riding, archery, riflery, outdoor living, and an expansive range of waterfront experiences including water skiing, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and tubing. Every activity is designed to teach responsibility, teamwork, and a greater awareness of God’s presence in everyday life.
Faith is seamlessly woven into the rhythm of camp life. Campers participate in daily Bible exploration, worship, and moments of reflection throughout the day. Staff and counselors model Christlike character and guide youth to discover how their relationship with Jesus impacts their identity, choices, and relationships.
Camp Cherith’s mission is to help each camper not only grow in their skills and confidence but to return home with a renewed passion for living out their faith. Families are encouraged to register early, as sessions are limited and fill quickly each year.
