Camp Cedarbrook Texas, nestled in the serene piney woods near Huntsville, offers a Christ-centered, Bible-based outdoor program for youth entering 2nd through 12th grades. Our mission is to foster God-centered relationships and equip individuals for Christ-like service and leadership.
Comprehensive Programs and Activities
We provide separate camping experiences for boys and girls, emphasizing personal spiritual growth, environmental stewardship, skill development, and leadership. Campers engage in activities such as:
Boating: Kayaking and canoeing to develop water skills.
Target Sports: Archery and rifle shooting to enhance focus and discipline.
Adventure & Challenge: High ropes courses and initiative games to build teamwork and courage.
Arts & Crafts: Music, drama, painting, and woodworking to inspire creativity.
Horsemanship: Horse care and riding to teach responsibility and confidence.
Nature & Outdoor Living: Fire building, knife safety, hiking, and fishing to cultivate outdoor skills.
Our Camper in Leadership Training (CILT) program is designed for high school students aiming to develop leadership skills for future roles at camp and beyond.
Facilities and Safety
Our facilities include air-conditioned cabins, a dining hall with nutritious meals, a covered basketball court, expansive fields, firing ranges, a high ropes course, a swimming pool, and a horsemanship pasture. We prioritize safety with trained staff, including certified First Aid and CPR personnel, and maintain a camper-to-counselor ratio of 7:1.
